1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use DrillMe:
- Account data: name, email address, and password (hashed)
- Your inputs: the answers you speak or type during practice, and any job descriptions you paste in
- AI-generated content: the questions, scores, and feedback the AI produces from your inputs, stored with your sessions
- Usage data: session history, scores, and progress metrics
- Payment data: handled entirely by Stripe — we never see your card details
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
- Provide and improve the interview preparation service
- Generate personalised feedback and track your progress
- Send transactional emails (account, billing, password reset)
- Detect and prevent abuse
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. AI Processing & Voice Input
DrillMe is an AI-powered product, so here is exactly how your inputs and AI outputs are handled:
- What we send to the AI: the text of your answers, any job descriptions you paste, and related session context are sent to our AI provider (Groq, running Meta's Llama models) to generate questions, follow-ups, scores, and feedback. We do not send your name, email, or payment details.
- No model training: our AI provider does not use data submitted through its API to train its models, and DrillMe does not train any AI models on your data. Your inputs are used only to generate your own results.
- AI-generated outputs: questions, scores, and feedback are produced by AI, may contain errors, and are for practice only (see our Terms). They are stored with your account so you can track progress, and you can delete them at any time.
- Voice input: when you answer by speaking, transcription is performed by your web browser's built-in speech recognition. Some browsers (e.g. Google Chrome) transmit the audio to the browser vendor's servers to convert it to text, governed by that vendor's privacy policy — not ours. DrillMe receives only the resulting text transcript; we do not record or store raw audio.
4. Data Storage
Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on AWS infrastructure. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Interview transcripts are stored indefinitely to power your progress tracking; you may request deletion at any time.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
We use cookies strictly for authentication (Supabase session cookies) and theme preference (stored in localStorage). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Export your interview history

7. Third-Party Services
DrillMe uses the following third-party services: Supabase (auth + database), Stripe (payments), Groq (AI inference), Vercel (hosting), and your web browser's speech-recognition service (voice transcription). Each operates under their own privacy policies.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice.
